Exclusive 50 Days Of Pathaan In Cinemas: Shah Rukh Khan And Deepika Padukone Starrer Created These 30 Historic Records During It’s Run

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’ released in middle of lot of controversies and apprehension. But film not only shut all mouths of cynics but also SRK starrer crossed every possible record in India and overseas within one week of run. Today film celebrates glorious 50 days in cinemas in more than 800 screens in India and many overseas countries.

Film stands today at 521.75 cr nett Hindi in India and 540 cr nett All India All Languages. Film has also crossed 48 million USD (395 cr) overseas in phase one itself excluding China market. These all are highest numbers for any Hindi film ever in each market.

Following are the major records which film surpassed worldwide during its run:

Highest opening-day collection for a Hindi film

Film registered the highest opening-day collection for a Hindi film in India by earning Rs 55 crore nett on its Day 1 in theatres. The film earned an additional Rs 2 crore from the dubbed versions.

First Hindi film to collect Rs 100 crore worldwide on opening day

Film became the first Hindi film to collect more than Rs 100 crore worldwide on its opening day. It grossed Rs 106 crore globally, including Rs 36.69 crore in the overseas market.

Biggest opening weekend for a Hindi film

In its five-day extended opening weekend, the spy action thriller earned Rs 540 crore gross worldwide.

Only Hindi film to make more than Rs 50 crore in a day in India

Film raked in Rs 57 crore nett in the domestic box office on its opening day, followed by Rs 70 crore nett on Day 2, Rs 53 crore nett on Day 4, and Rs 60 crore nett on its Day 5 in theatres.

Highest single-day collection for any Indian movie

On Republic Day, film added Rs 70 crore nett to its coffers in India — the highest single-day domestic collection by a Hindi film till date.

Fastest Hindi film to gross Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore, Rs 400 crore worldwide

Film joined the Rs 200-crore club worldwide on Day 2 of its release. It hit the Rs 300-crore mark in three days, and achieved the Rs 400-crore milestone in just four days.

In India too, film became the fastest Hindi film to collect Rs 200 crore and Rs 300 crore in the domestic box office. The movie achieved this feat in four and seven days, respectively. This record was previously held by the 2022 blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi version).

First Hindi film to collect over Rs 500 crore nett in India

At the end of its third week in theatres, film became the first Hindi film to earn over Rs 500 crore nett in India.

The highest-grossing Hindi film in India

On the 39th day since its release on January 25, film beat the lifetime collections (Rs 510 crore) of S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi version) to become the highest-grossing film in Hindi (original language) of all time.

Highest opening for a Hindi film in North America

Film also registered the highest-ever opening for a Hindi film in North America. In its extended five-day weekend, the movie raked in USD 9.48 million.

Highest opening day for any Indian film in the UK

Film made £319,348 at the UK box office on its opening day, the highest single-day collection by an Indian film in the country.
