Adipurush opened in cinemas on June 16 to mixed reviews. While giving his review to the press, a man was attacked by Prabhas’ fans for not liking the film and it was all pandemonium outside the cinema.
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush opened well as expected due to massive anticipation resulting in healthy advance bookings. Film collected approx. Rs 37.25 crore nett on day one in the Hindi version, and now it stands 3rd after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and KGF 2. The total day one in all the languages worldwide 140 crore gross with 38 cr overseas.
Film managed to stay afloat on day two despite negative reviews and grew by slim 5%. Film collected 38 cr nett on day two with almost no growth. Film dropped on Sunday and collected 36 cr nett. Film collected 111.25 cr nett over weekend in Hindi.
On day 4 Monday, Adipurush met its fate and crashed massive 75% from day one. Film struggled to cross 7.25 nett on day four which means total rejection. Film dropped further and collected poor 5.25 cr nett on Tuesday, 3.50 cr nett on Wednesday and 2.50 cr nett on Thursday. Film has week one total of 129.75 cr nett. It collected 88% Collection over weekend and only 12% in next 4 days which speaks about level of rejection of the film.
Film collected poor 2 cr nett in Hindi on 2nd Friday followed by 3 cr nett on 2nd Saturday and 3.25 cr nett on 2nd Sunday. Film added poor 85 lacs nett on 2nd Monday. Film added only 2.5 cr on weekdays en collected poor 10.75 cr in 2nd week which is massive 92% drop from week one.
Film will finish with under 143 cr nett lifetime in Hindi which means lower than Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar lifetime number of 149 cr nett.
