Exclusive Box Office Report: Aamir Khan Starrer Laal Singh Chaddha Becomes Highest Overseas Grosser TODAY In Overseas In 2022, Set To Release On 8th September In China & Taiwan

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, which featured Tom Hanks.

Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha was released in the middle of so much hype but it proved to be a big disaster in the domestic market. The film is struggling cross even small 60 cr nett lifetime. In the middle of mixed reviews and boycott calls, the film failed miserably.

But somehow overseas market was decent to good for Aamir Khan as the film is already 2nd highest grosser overseas Hindi film post-pandemic with close to 7.50 million $ gross.

In the overseas markets, film has managed to rake in USD 7.5 million [Rs. 59.89 cr.] at the close of the second weekend. It has managed to surpass Gangubai Kathiawadi [7.47 mil. USD], Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 [5.88 mil. USD] and The Kashmir Files [5.7 mil. USD] to become the highest overseas grosser of 2022 in the international markets.

The film is now set to release in China and Taiwan markets on 8th September. This market is dominated by Aamir Khan as he is the only Indian actor who is immensely popular over there.

His previous films Dangal, PK and Secret Superstar were unbelievable hits in the market in China. The film should at least cross 12-15 million $ gross if not more which will be a respectable result for the film overseas.

Netizens called for a boycott of the film over statements made by Aamir and Kareena in the past. The two stars requested fans not to boycott Laal Singh Chaddha and asked them to watch the film in theatres.
