Exclusive Box Office Report: Marvel’s Thor Love & Thunder manages to grow again crossing 65 cr nett

Marvel’s Thor Love and Thunder released on Thursday and as expected it opened big across 3000 screens.

The film managed 18.60 cr nett on day one which speaks volume about film’s craze. This was 5th highest opening ever for Hollywood film in India.

Thor dropped on expected lines on day two though drop of 35% was on higher sides as film collected 11.75 cr nett. The film again grew today as expected but growth was not big.

The film collected 16 cr nett yesterday. Film again grew today and collected 19 cr nett. Film has total of 68-70 cr nett in 4 – days which is huge and that means film is critic proof.

Steady number on weekdays will give it long run as it has rather open 2nd week too and that can take it to close to 100 cr nett.

The film will not only mark the reunion of actor-director duo Chris Hemsworth-Taika Waititi 5 long years after the success of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ but also Chris Bale’s big MCU debut as deadly villain, Gorr the God Butcher.

The new Marvel Studios movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Taika Waititi, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, and Chris Pratt. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder opened in theaters on July 8, 2022.
