Vidyut Jammwal starrer Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Agni Pariksha was average and unnoticed direct to digital release during the pandemic.
The makers and actors went limit of being delusional and announced its sequel that too to be released in cinemas. The film, which released last weekend, opened to terrible numbers of 1.30 cr nett on day one.
Khuda Haafiz 2 improved marginally on Saturday with 40% growth (because starting point was low so 40% is low in terms of numbers) and collected 1.72 cr nett. The film again grew on Sunday with figures of 3.13 cr nett which was big growth but probably came die to Eid festivities. Film has weekend total of 6.15 cr nett.
Now, this Vidyut starrer needs to hold on Monday close to Friday number in order to have some sort of run in coming days.
In order to recover investment for makers, film needs to do 27 cr nett minimum in order to break even 12.5-13 cr all India theatrical distribution price.
Meanwhile, Vidyut’s film Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha is the second installment of his 2020 film Khuda Haafiz. The film is written and directed by Faruk Kabir, and released in theatres on Friday, July 8. It also stars Shivaleeka Oberoi, Danish Hussain, and Asrar Khan.
