The long-awaited remake of Quentin Tarantino’s classic action film Kill Bill by Anurag Kashyap and Nikhil Dwivedi, with Kriti Sanon playing Uma Thurman, began production this year. The trio had planned to start filming the revenge drama’s Indian version in the first quarter of this year when they announced it in December 2021. Kriti, who has primarily portrayed Indian females from small towns in previous films, is eager to try her hand at the action genre and play the part of a fierce woman seeking revenge.
Six months after the announcement, the movie has still not begun production and hence some insiders in the industry revealed that the movie has been delayed and may be cancelled altogether. But as soon as these news started circulating online Kriti and Anurag, in an interesting manner, dismissed the rumours as they were spotted for a meeting for the film in Mumbai’s Bandra.
Take a look at their pictures here:
On the work front, Anurag Kashyap wrapped up Dobaara with Taapsee Pannu in March this year. The shoot had come to a halt when I-T department conducted raids at the homes and offices of Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and other shareholders of Phantom Films. Dobaara will be an edgy time-travel film.
Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, is currently shooting Shehzada with Kartik Aaryan. She will also be next seen in Bhediya, opposite Varun Dhawan.
