Exclusive: Disaster: Rohit Shetty Film Cirkus Drops Further After Disastrous Weekend, Worst Year For Ranveer Singh At Box Office!

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Cirkus stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and others. It includes a circus operator and his gymnast friends hailing from a huge circus company ‘juggle’ with their lives and attempt to bring back the extinct circus culture to the public. It hit the big screen on December 23, 2022.

Film had low advances and managed to sell hardly 31k tickets and opened with 15% occupancy.

Film remained poor throughout the day one and it collected pathetic 6.25 cr nett on day one. Film hardly grew on day two and collected 6.40 cr nett. Despite massive festival advantage it only collected 7.50 cr nett on Sunday with less than 20% growth.

Film has weekend number of 20.15 cr nett. Film further dropped on Monday big time by collecting 2.75 cr nett. Film has total of 22.90 cr nett in 4 days and it will finish with 30 cr nett week one.

It might finish under 40 cr nett lifetime which is a shocker. This is worst ever year for Ranveer Singh after washout result of Jayeshbhai Jordaar and forts flop for Rohit Shetty in 10 years or so.

Below are the collection for the film :

Friday – 6.25 cr

Saturday – 6.40 cr

Sunday – 7.50 cr

Monday – 2.75 cr

Total – 22.90 cr

It’s interesting to note that the film has been placed in the 1960s era and the shooting location seems to be attractive as it’s based on William Shakespeare’s play “The Comedy of Errors”. It should take advantage of the holiday period and manage to post a decent total even if it didn’t entertain as expected.
