Vidya Balan starrer Neeyat is hitting cinemas tomorrow on 7th July. This is Vidya Balan’s cinema outing after almost 4 years. Film has no pre release buzz and it was obvious that it will have poor advance bookings at box office.
Following are the advance booking numbers in national chains for day one:

Film will find tough to cross 50 lacs net on day one unless word of mouth turns the tide which seems tough at the moment. Film boasts of good performers but seems like more of an OTT film in today’s time. Despite Amazon being one of a producers, it’s a strange decision to release such film in cinemas without much of a promotion.
About Neeyat Trailer
The two-minute and 24-second-long trailer was quite captivating and captures some of the most intriguing moments from the film Neeyat. Set on an isolated Scotland Island, it follows a group of people congregating to celebrate the birthday of a wealthy man named Ashish Kapoor (played charmingly by Ram Kapoor).
One murder and many suspects, with almost everyone having a shady past and a strong motive to kill the rich guy. Will Mrs. Rao be able to crack this case and unravel the truth? We will find out soon. The trailer has a strong Agatha Christie vibe and the storyline is also something that hasn’t been explored well in Bollywood films. While all the characters are furious and anxious, Vidya’s character is the most calm and composed of them all as she tries to find out the killer.

Produced by Vikram Malhotra under Abundantia Entertainment, Neeyat is directed by Anu Menon who had earlier helmed Vidya’s Shakuntala Devi. The film has an interesting ensemble of Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Prajakta Koli, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Niki Walia and Danesh Razvi. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on 7 July.
