Dwayne Johnson has donned the superhero suit for DC Extended Universe. While The Rock is a popular name and has a sizeable fan base, early predictions state that DCEU’s new film won’t be able to match the box office collections of Marvel’s superhero films. Also, because it’s a pre-Diwali release, the footfall at cinema halls decreases which will impact the collections.
Black Adam was released on Thursday in India during the pre-Diwali phase; hence, film collected 6.80 cr nett on day one and it can be considered a decent performance. Film dropped on day two with usual trend and collected 4.80 cr nett as festivities came in effect. Film grew on expected lines and collected 6.10 cr nett on Saturday.
On Sunday film suffered due to massive India Pakistan match and festivities still it managed decent 5.80 cr nett with only slim drop. Film added 3.50 cr in Monday which is not a bad result considering Diwali effect.
As expected new Bollywood releases halted run of Hollywood film as film collected 3.75 cr nett on Tuesday and 2.75 cr nett on Wednesday with some drop and 2.25 cr nett on Thursday.
Film collected 35.75 cr nett in extended week one of 8 days and that’s a fair result for a DC film which was released without much hype.
Film held well and collected 1.70 cr nett on 2nd Friday and then jumped on Saturday with 2.30 cr nett And same on Sunday. Film collected 9.55 cr nett in 2nd week. Film was solid on 3rd Friday despite new releases and collected 50 lacs nett.
Film has total of 45.70 cr nett and it should jump today. Film will cross 48 cr nett by tomorrow and 50 cr nett lifetime in India. It’s more than big Hindi Film Thank God. Success!

Black Adam is a spinoff from Shazam! and while the anti-hero title character and the accompanying Justice Society of America members are no household names, the film’s star certainly is.
