Hollywood films without much promotion managed better number on day one. ‘The Pope’s Exorcist’ collected close to 72 lacs nett in national chains and ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ collected 79 lacs nett in national chains on day one. Today again films grew by 30% and 50% respectively.
‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ is global blockbuster and might become first animation film ever to cross 1 Billion USD worldwide. Globally on Friday after reaching almost 100M overseas in just 3 days over 70 markets. Film added 113.3M in the US box office, Film hits a 212M Global 3-day total. Film is eyeing 5-day Opening 200M-220M domestic and 165M-185M overseas 365M-405M Globally.

In 2023, a computer-animated adventure film titled “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” was released, based on the popular Mario video game franchise by Nintendo. The movie titled “The Pope’s Exorcist” is a supernatural horror film set to release in 2023. Directed by Julius Avery, it stars Russell Crowe as Father Gabriele Amorth, along with Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Franco Nero. The storyline is based on the memoirs of Amorth, namely “An Exorcist Tells His Story” and “An Exorcist: More Stories”. The production of the film began in 2020 when the rights to Amorth’s story were acquired by Screen Gems. The filming took place from August to October 2022 in Ireland, following script revisions and a directorial replacement. It was initially released in India on April 7, 2023, and will hit the theaters in the United States on April 14, 2023.
