As expected, Kannada dub film Kantara released in Hindi markets today with massive 2000 plus screens and it has opened to decent numbers. On the other hands all new releases flopped almost without trace. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G was only Hindi film to open some sort of occupancy. Here are latest box office collections of today’s releases.
Kantara has opened to 20-25% opening in smaller centres and urban bigger cities might come around from evening. Film should score close to 2 cr nett on day one going by very early trends.
Ayusmhann Khurrana starrer Doctor G was biggest Hindi release out of all today and opened to mixed reviews. Film has low pre release buzz and opened to 10% opening. As per early trends it will struggle to cross 2.75 – 3 cr nett on day one. This might be only good Hindi box office news.
Parineeti Chopra starrer Code Name Tiranga was always suppose to struggle with poor pre release buzz and cliche promotion material. Film will struggle to cross 60 – 75 lacs nett on day one.
Rest of the new releases Modi Ji Ki Beti, Kahani Rubber Band Ki, Aye Zindagi, Love You Loktanntra, Jaggu Ki Lalten, Mid Day Meeal and Oscar Entry Last Film Show are complete washout with almost zilch numbers. Overall bollywood box office collection remained poor.
Hollywood release Halloween Ends might score some sort of number as reviews are good from overseas for the genre.
