Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ never ever took off from trailer to song. Film continued to struggle through the campaign with poor cliche promotional strategy of city tours and what not!
As expected, film collected strictly average 6 cr nett on day one. To be fair, film struggled due to poor content and reviews coupled with onslaught of already established film ‘Pathaan’ and Marvel film ‘Antman And Wasp Quantumania’.
Yesterday film was expected to grow due to Mahasviratri holiday though growth was slim. Film grew by 10% across the board. Growth was muted in high end plexes and higher in mass centres.
Film collected 6.65 cr nett on day two with 10% growth only. Film again grew only marginally by 10% on Sunday and thus film has weekend total of 20.20 cr nett which is below par. Film has to score 5 cr nett Monday which seems impossible at the moment.
Film remained around 20.20 cr nett over weekend big Monday seems like a uphill task. It might struggle to cross 45 cr nett lifetime. Seems like another Rohit Dhawan flop which happened to be Kartik Aaryan starrer.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts, and Brat Films, Shehzada stars Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and others. It was supposed to hit the big screen on February 10, 2023 but later got delayed due to ‘Pathaan’ onslaught and it released on February 17, 2023.

Speaking about Kartik’s previous successful movies, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ received Rs 14.11 cr on its opening day. ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ collected 6.42 cr, ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2’ with 6.8 cr, Lukachuppi opened 8.01 cr at the Box-office.
But ‘Shehzada’ proved to be his lowest opener.
