EXCLUSIVE: Mission Impossible 7 Drops On Expected Lines By 28% On Day Two, Set To Jump Over Weekend

Originally titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, the film stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson and others in key roles. It is believed to be compensating the damage done by The Flash and Indiana Jones 5 during the ongoing Summer and below is how much it is expected to rake in during the opening weekend at the worldwide box office.

The seventh instalment of Mission: Impossible is said to be the most critically acclaimed part of the franchise, and Tom Cruise is described as a top-form man. This positivity is pushing the biggie in terms of advance booking. Apart from that, there’s goodwill of previous instalments. Even there’s momentum in favour due to Top Gun: Maverick’s blockbuster success.

Mission Impossible Set For Good 50 Cr Net Weekend

Tom Cruise‘s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One released globally on 12 July Wednesday. Its advance booking also started on the same day as Oppenheimer‘s. It has sold approximately 1,15,000 tickets in the national chains for opening day. The weekend sales stood at 2,25,000 on Tuesday night.

Mission Impossible 7 In National Chains On Day One And Day Two

Day 1:

PVR: 4.02 cr

Inox: 2.23 cr

Cinepolis: 1.30 cr

Total: 7.55 cr net

Day 2:

PVR: 3 cr

Inox: 1.53 cr

Cinepolis: 0.92 cr

Total: 5.45 cr net (28% drop)

Film collected 12 cr net on day one which was good number. It was 2nd best opening day for Hollywood film in 2023, only behind Fast X. Today film was expected to drop as it was working day midweek but drop was not drastic. Film dropped by 28% and should collect around 8.75 cr net.

Following are the collections in India:

Wednesday: 12 cr

Thursday: 8.75 cr

Total: 20.75 cr Net

Film has two day total of 20.75 cr net and it should jump again over weekend. It will cross 50 cr net over weekend and that will put film in good position to cross 100 cr net in India.

Top Hollywood Openers Of 2023 In India, MI 7 Will Be 2nd 

Film should open to 9-11 cr net day one and that will be 2nd best opening day for Hollywood in 2023. If night remain second to Fast X though it has outside chance of crossing that number if word of mouth remain healthy.
