Kannada Film ‘Kabzaa’ was red hot in trade for last 4-5 months and finally released today. Film was bought and distributed by Anand Pandit and released in massive 1600 screens plus in Hindi. This is insane and speaks about ‘over confidence’ of makers over such a mediocre product.
Film opened to terrible reviews and it became most Panned ‘Pan India’ film of recent times. It was a cheap copy of ‘KHF 2’ and felt like a quick money making effort. On top of that superstar Sudeep was only for two scenes in the film who was promoted heavily throughout the promotion.
As per early trends, film should collect not more than 45 lacs nett on day one in Hindi. Film failed to grow post pathetic reviews and dropped further. Film has collected 30 lacs nett on day two in Hindi.
This means 3-4 cr nett lifetime is a task! Probably the biggest disaster Pan India film which turns out to be biggest Panned India film!
Film collected 10.50 cr on day one All India and that too dropped massively on day two with poor numbers of 5.50 cr. With 16 cr total in two days, 40 cr lifetime will be a task.
