Brahmastra Part 1 Shiva released in middle of lot of buzz and controversies but film proved everyone wrong with massive weekend at box office. Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt starrer received love of the audience despite mixed reviews and cameos of SRK,Nagarjun and Deepika helped film further.
Film collected highest weekend ever worldwide beating all new releases in USA & UK market too and this happened first time for a Hindi film. Film was 2nd in USA and 3rd in UK market over weekend. Also it topped Australian box office over weekend.
Film collected massive 123 cr nett all India all languages which is highest non holiday weekend ever beating previous highest 120 cr nett of Sanju. Film collected 16 cr in Telugu which is terrific and highest ever gross for a Hindi film in 5 days itself.
Film collected massive 173 cr nett All India All Language and 153 cr nett in Hindi in week one. Film collected total 18.50 cr in south languages over week.
Film started 2nd week on positive note and held well despite drops on weekdays. Film collected 10.25 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was 20% jump over Thursday which tells volume about film’s acceptance. As expected, film jumped by 50% on 2nd Saturday and collected 15.75 cr nett All India and 14.50 cr nett in Hindi. Notably this is higher than opening day of every Hindi film this year,even higher than Bhool Bhullaiya 2. Film should touch 18-19 cr nett tomorrow.
Film again jumped by 20% on Sunday as expected and collected 18.25 cr nett All India All languages/17 cr nett in Hindi. It means film will add 60 cr nett in 2nd week which is fantastic.
Film has total of 218 cr All India nett and it will cross 200 cr in Hindi by tomorrow. If it can again hold on weekdays in 2nd week and then it can do well in 3rd week too with at least 20 cr nett total which will take film to lifetime total of 255-260 cr nett.
Now film is a bonafide super hit and heading towards blockbuster status worldwide especially considering post pandemic market.
