2023 started on a fantastic note for Bollywood with historic success of ‘Pathaan’ but post that all films tanked without any trace. Now all eyes on Ranbir – Shraddha starrer ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ which should take some sort of start. Film is releasing on 8th March on Holi. It’s selected advance bookings started yesterday. Full fledge advances will take off from today.
YRF is releasing the film and it has run time of 2 hour 40 minutes. Film has opted for ‘popular pricing’ as morning shows are priced around 160 INR and evening shows are priced around 250-300 depending on properties.
Film took decent start in select advances yesterday as it sold good 3000 approx tickets for day one. Following are the national chain numbers for the film as of 3:30 pm Sunday:
PVR: 4500
Inox: 1800
Cinepolis: 1200
Total: 7500 tickets
Today with full fledge advances, film should cross healthy numbers as Holi will ensure good numbers. Film should cross double digit opening but 15 cr nett day one will be an ideal number.
Here Is The Proof That Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar Trimmed By 5 Minutes
We reported in our Exclusive a week back that film has runtime of 2 hours 44 minutes and advances will start from 5th March. Film has opted for ‘popular pricing’ on lines of ‘Drishyam 2’. Then news surfaced that film’s runtime was 2 hour 39 minutes and then we dig deeper to find out the truth.
As per censor certification, TJMM had runtime of 2 hours 44 minutes and then film was resubmit or edited by 5 minutes. It is clearly mentioned in censor certificate. Probably longer runtime forced makers to cut it by 5 minutes.
