There was no excitement for the upcoming biographical Rajkummar Rao starrer Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne despite glowing reviews. Film was seen by almost every critic in town and creatives with glowing reviews were spattered all over the media. Film failed to register even decent opening though jumps over 2nd weekend post hold on weekdays in 1st week gave it some chance.
Srikanth Holds Well In 2nd Week
Film took advantage of almost no new release over weekend and managed 1.67 crore nett on 2nd Friday. Film jumped by 80% on 2nd Saturday and collected 2.82 crore nett. Film jumped further on 2nd Sunday and collected 4.04 crore nett. Film collected 8.53 crore nett over 2nd weekend.
Film held well on weekdays and collected 1.52 crore nett on 2nd Monday, 1.26 crore nett on 2nd Tuesday, 1.20 crore nett on 2nd Wednesday and 1.47 crore nett on 2nd Thursday. Film has total of 13.98 crore nett in 2nd week which is good hold considering week one numbers though open run contributed heavily to this trend.
Film has total of 32.02 crore nett and this is still an average number. Film has free open run for few weeks and it can march towards hit lifetime of 45- 50 crore nett. Poor opening might hurt film despite sustained run as that will keep it below big lifetime number!
Srikanth Scored Below Par Week One
Srikanth failed to cross even 2.41 crore nett on day one as film collected poor 1.85 crore gross (1.50 crore nett) in national chains despite no competition and glowing reviews.
But today on day two, film jumped big on expected lines. Film has crossed 3.42 crore gross in national chains which is 85-90% jump from day 1. This indicates that film crossed 4.26 crore nett on day two.
Film again jumped on day three morning by 50% plus over day two and crossed 5.28 crore nett on day three with good performance during night shows. Film crossed 11.95 crore nett over weekend which was strictly average.
Film needed solid hold on Monday for sustained run at box office and that’s what happened. Film dropped marginally by 20% on day 4 and crossed 1.69 crore nett. Film added 1.48 crore nett on day 5, similar 1.49 crore nett on day 6 and 1.43 crore nett on day 7. Film had 1st week total of 18.04 crore nett which was very poor.
