Last Friday saw release of two new Hindi films, psychological crime thriller film ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ and a crime thriller film ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’. Both had taken a good start at box office due to National Cinema Day. Both the films received mixed reviews from critics as well as audience.
On the opening day, R Madhavan, Aparshakti Khurana, Khushalii Kumar and Darshan Kumar’s Dhokha took a good start with 15-20% occupancy in the morning. Post noon shows, it showed improvement and done the business of 1.25 cr nett.
As expected film dropped on Saturday but the problem was that it dropped big. Film collected only 60 lacs nett and Sunday was 55 lacs nett. After 2.40 cr nett weekend, film dropped big on Monday and collected poor 20 lacs nett. Film added 35 lacs nett on weekdays.
Film will wrap up around 3.25 cr nett lifetime maximum as reduced ticket prices didn’t make a difference.
