The makers of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan have hit back at Arushi Nishank’s claims of financial misconduct. Mini Films, led by producers Varun and Mansi Bagla, have dismissed her allegations as “false and misleading.” They have also revealed shocking details about their dealings with Nishank.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Makers Reject Nishank’s Claims
In an official statement, the production house said Nishank had repeatedly approached them to seek a collaboration. She allegedly claimed her political connections in Uttarakhand could help the film secure government support. However, the producers refused her offer, saying they didn’t need such backing.
Later, Nishank reportedly insisted on playing a role in the film. She allegedly offered to invest in the project in exchange for a part, believing it would boost her public image and political career. Mini Films also claimed she emphasised her ties with Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and even promised to arrange his visit to the set, just as she did for her web series Life Hill Gayi.
Producers Accuse Her Of Threatening Them
The controversy escalated after Nishank secured a small role but later demanded a bigger part. According to Mini Films, while they were filming in Dehradun, her husband Abhinav Pant invited them to an unfinished building near Dehradun Airport. There, he allegedly issued threats, pressuring them to give Nishank a parallel lead role.
The statement also claimed that Pant frequently spoke about astrology and even asked for their kundali (horoscope) to impress them. Unwilling to bow to pressure, the production house removed Nishank from the film.
Following this, the producers alleged that Nishank spread false PR news, claiming she was among the lead actors. “She is a media-hungry person with serious temperamental issues. The accusations are entirely fabricated,” the statement read.
Mini Films has confirmed they are taking legal action against Nishank. They urged the media and public to disregard her allegations and wait for the legal process to take its course.
For the unversed, Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor lead the cast of the above-mentioned film. It’s a musical love story and features them as blind characters.
