Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest installment of the iconic Jurassic franchise saw a grand opening in India on Friday. Over weekend, the film performed better than Bollywood films, including Kajol’s Maa, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino. In fact, it has outperformed Brad Pitt’s F1 movie at the Indian box office as well.
Film collected close to 8.25 crore net on day one which was higher than all new releases and holdover releases i.e. Sitaare Zameen Par, Maa, Metro In Dinoand F1. Film jumped on day two and collected 13 crore followed by equally solid 14.50 crore on Sunday.
It has 3 – day total of 35.75 crore net over the weekend which is solid result. It has strong legs and should cross 75 crore lifetime from here which is massive result.
Jurassic World would be looking to hold around the Rs 5 crore mark on Monday, and from there aim at a first week in the North of Rs 50 crore. There will be a surge in business again over the second weekend, and it is headed for a rather healthy theatrical run in India. The last Jurassic World film had collected around the Rs 60 crore mark in India, and the latest installment will zoom past the number with ease.

Jurassic World Rebirth has crossed the $100 million mark globally, earning a total of $104.6 million by Thursday, reported Deadline.
Jurassic World Rebirth is that unicorn, upholding the meaty grosses this Universal–Amblin dinosaur franchise has a long history with. The Gareth Edwards directed, Scarlett Johansson starring movie posted its biggest day since opening Wednesday with a $36.7M Saturday, a massive +40% surge over Friday, with a revised 3-day that’s $91.5M and 5-day that’s at $147.3M. That latter number translates into 10 million admissions over five days per box office stat corp EntTelligence.
