Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata Nears Flop Verdict As 3-Day Total Reaches Rs 4 Crore

Kangana Ranaut’s new theatrical release is struggling to convert weekend visibility into real box office traction. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata posted only a limited Sunday rise, taking its three day India net total to Rs 4.05 crore, a trend that has pushed the film closer to a flop verdict in its opening weekend itself.

Released on June 12, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata collected Rs 1.60 crore net on Sunday after opening with Rs 1 crore on Friday and moving to Rs 1.45 crore on Saturday. The growth is visible on paper, but the pace remained far too modest for a film banking on a crucial first weekend. In a crowded market, that soft hold has become the bigger story around the Kangana Ranaut starrer.

Sunday Growth Remains Muted

What hurts Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata most is that its first Sunday did not deliver the kind of jump that can reset a film’s theatrical narrative. The makers had pushed multiple incentives, including a nationwide Buy One Get One ticket offer, while the film also received tax free status in Delhi and Haryana during its opening run.

Even then, audience conversion stayed weak. The film’s show count dropped sharply from 1,956 on Saturday to 794 on Sunday, while occupancy hovered around 14 per cent, lower than the roughly 17 per cent recorded a day earlier. Those numbers underline the same concern, curiosity around the subject has not yet translated into strong and sustained footfalls.

Day 1: 1.00 cr

Day 2: 1.45 cr

Day 3: 1.60 cr

Total: 4.00 crore nett

Competition added to the pressure. The film opened alongside Main Vaapas Aaunga, Governor and Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, splitting attention and screen space at a time when it needed a decisive surge.

About Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata

Directed by Manoj Tapadia, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is a Hindi thriller co produced by Kangana Ranaut and backed by Manikarnika Films, Pen Studios, Paramhans Creations, Eunoia Films and Floating Rocks Entertainment. The cast includes Ranaut, Girija Oak, Smita Tambe and Esha Dey.

The film revisits the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks through the experiences of healthcare workers at Mumbai’s Cama Hospital. Inspired by the real life bravery of nurse Anjali Kulthe and her colleagues, the story focuses on doctors, nurses and hospital staff protecting vulnerable patients, including pregnant women, newborn babies and the critically ill, during the crisis.

Kangana Ranaut’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranaut’s recent filmography has reflected both ambition and volatility. In 2023, she starred in Chandramukhi 2, directed by P. Vasu and led by Raghava Lawrence, and later headlined Tejas, a military drama directed by Sarvesh Mewara that underperformed commercially. In 2025, she returned with Emergency, the political drama she directed and produced, playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Now in 2026, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata marks another performance driven film that also carries her creative backing as co producer. Among her confirmed upcoming titles, Circle remains an announced project on her slate.
