Controversy And Political Reactions Surrounding The Film
While the film is drawing massive crowds, it has also sparked political backlash. Some scenes referencing the 2002 Gujarat riots have led to criticism, particularly from BJP leaders. In response, the makers confirmed that certain scenes, including those depicting violence against women, will be removed. The name of the film’s antagonist is also set to be changed.
Mohanlal addressed the controversy on Sunday, expressing regret and assuring that the necessary changes would be made. His statement came hours after Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition Leader V D Satheesan extended their support to the film.
More About The Film
