Obsession is refusing to slow down at the Indian box office. The Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette-led horror thriller added Rs 6.50 crore gross in its fourth weekend, taking its total India haul to Rs 91 crore gross and emerging as the highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2026 in the market so far.
That latest milestone gives the film a fresh bragging right after an already impressive theatrical run. It has now moved past Project Hail Mary’s lifetime India total and is heading into its fifth week with the Rs 100 crore gross mark firmly in sight. The fourth weekend also marked the film’s first significant drop after three solid weeks, but the hold remains strong enough to keep it on a remarkable trajectory.
Obsession’S Fourth Weekend Pushes It To The Top
The weekend numbers underlined just how steadily Obsession is continuing to draw audiences. The film collected Rs 1.50 crore on fourth Friday, jumped to Rs 2.60 crore on Saturday, and added Rs 2.40 crore on Sunday. Those figures lifted its cumulative India gross to Rs 91 crore.
That total is especially significant because it places Obsession ahead of every other Hollywood release in India this year. If the current run continues, the film is set to cross Rs 100 crore gross during its fifth week. Once it gets there, it is also poised to overtake The Conjuring: Last Rites and become the biggest Hollywood horror film in India.

The bigger picture is equally striking. Hollywood titles have enjoyed a notably strong 2026 in India, with films such as Project Hail Mary, The Mummy, Obsession, The Devil Weds Prada 2, and Michael all finding an audience. In that crowded field, Obsession has managed to stand out with sustained momentum rather than a short-lived spike.
About Obsession
Directed and written by Curry Barker, Obsession was released theatrically on May 15, 2026, by Focus Features in association with Blumhouse. The film stars Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter.
The horror thriller follows a hopeless romantic who breaks a mysterious object called the One Wish Willow to win over his crush. He gets exactly what he asked for, but soon discovers that his desire comes with a sinister price. That compact supernatural hook appears to have clicked with Indian viewers in a major way, turning the film into one of the year’s standout Hollywood performers at the box office.
With the fifth week now underway, Obsession has already secured a major place in India’s 2026 Hollywood box office story. The only question left is how far beyond the Rs 100 crore line it can go.
