Ramayana has turned its final pre-release stretch into a full-blown box office event. With one day still left before release, the film has already sold 2.75 lakh tickets across PVR Inox and Cinepolis, a benchmark that places it firmly among the biggest national chain advances of 2026 and gives it the biggest pre-sales start among non-sequel titles this year.
The split is strong across both major circuits. PVR Inox stands at 2.30 lakh tickets, while Cinepolis has contributed another 45,000, taking the combined total to 2,75,000 tickets for day one as of 11 pm on November 3. The momentum also suggests that Ramayana is headed for around 4.50 lakh tickets in national chains by the end of advance sales, a huge number for a pre-Diwali release window.
Ramayana Moves Ahead Of Toxic In 2026 Rankings
That 2.75 lakh total has already pushed Ramayana past Toxic, which had closed its advance booking run at 2.45 lakh tickets in national chains. More significantly, Ramayana has now emerged as the biggest non-sequel advance booking title of 2026 in these chains, a notable feat in a year dominated by franchise films and follow-up titles.
The next major target is Drishyam The Conclusion, which had sold 4.05 lakh tickets in the same national chains. Given the current pace, Ramayana is expected to cross that mark on November 4 and move into the second spot on the 2026 advance booking chart, behind only Dhurandhar The Revenge, which remains far ahead with 9.25 lakh tickets.
National Chains Chart For 2026
The current top advances in national chains for 2026 place Dhurandhar The Revenge first with 9.25 lakh tickets, followed by Drishyam The Conclusion at 4.05 lakh. Cast, Crew And Film Details
Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and fronted by Ranbir Kapoor, with Yash also attached to the epic adaptation. The film is mounted on a large scale and draws from one of Indian mythology’s most enduring stories, a factor that has clearly helped it build broad pre-release interest across circuits.
The film’s theatrical positioning now looks especially strong because it is delivering franchise-level pre-sales without being a sequel. That alone makes its current run one of the most notable advance booking stories of 2026 so far.
