Ranabaali has opened to a shaky start at the box office, and the pressure is already on Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s period drama to hold steady through the weekdays. After its first weekend, the film has grossed Rs 34 crore worldwide, a number that leaves it needing much stronger momentum in the days ahead.
Ranabaali Opens Soft Despite Weekend Growth
The Rahul Sankrityan directorial earned Rs 24.75 crore gross in India over its opening weekend, with overseas markets contributing about USD 975,000. That takes the film’s worldwide opening weekend total to Rs 34 crore.
The weekend pattern showed only modest movement. After collecting Rs 9 crore on day one, the film added Rs 7.75 crore on day two and Rs 8 crore on day three. For a film mounted on a large scale and led by two popular stars, the opening has landed on the underwhelming side.
The biggest immediate challenge for Ranabaali is that it did not begin with the kind of commanding launch that usually cushions a big-budget period action drama. With audience response appearing mixed, the film now needs a solid weekday hold to stay in the race.
Ranabaali Box Office Collection:
INDIA: Rs. 24.75 cr.
United States: USD 600,000
Rest of World: USD 375,000
OVERSEAS: USD 975,000
WORLDWIDE: Rs. 34.00 cr gross
Domestic Markets Drive The Film’s Total
The Telugu states did the heavy lifting for the opening weekend. Ranabaali grossed Rs 20.75 crore from AP and Telangana, including Rs 10.50 crore from Nizam, Rs 2.75 crore from Ceded, and Rs 7.50 crore from Andhra. Karnataka added Rs 3 crore, while the rest of India contributed Rs 1 crore.
Internationally, the film collected USD 600,000 from the United States and another USD 375,000 from the rest of the world. That overseas total gave the film some support, but not enough to significantly change the overall picture after the opening weekend.
