Sardaar Ji 3 Beats Salman Khan’s Sultan in Pakistan, Diljit Dosanjh Celebrates Global Triumph Amid India No-Show

Diljit Dosanjh’s latest Punjabi comedy, Sardaar Ji 3, is rewriting box office records in Pakistan even as it remains a no-show in India due to the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The film has collected a whopping ₹11.03 crore globally in just two days, driven by packed theatres and an enthusiastic response from audiences across the border.

Sardaar Ji 3 Earns 11 Crore In Two Days, A Historic Global Ranking for Punjabi Cinema

On its opening day, Sardaar Ji 3 earned ₹4.32 crore, with day two seeing a significant jump to ₹6.71 crore, bringing its two-day worldwide total to ₹11.03 crore.

On the global stage, Sardaar Ji 3 has secured the third-best opening day ever for a Punjabi film, trailing only behind Jatt & Juliet 3 and Carry On Jatta. This feat underlines the growing clout of Punjabi cinema internationally, particularly among diaspora audiences in countries like Canada, the UK, and Australia.

The film also ranks among top 12 films at North American box office between 27-29 June.

Highest Opening for an Indian Film in Pakistan

Despite being denied a theatrical release in India, Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaar Ji 3 was released internationally on June 27, 2025 and has gone houseful in cinemas across Pakistan.

Sardaar Ji 3 has now achieved the highest-ever opening for an Indian film in Pakistan, surpassing the record previously held by Salman Khan’s Sultan. The film’s comedy-action genre and Diljit’s massive popularity among Punjabi-speaking audiences have contributed to its unprecedented success.

A fan shared his review for the film and wrote, “Loved every bit of it, you and Hania together omg, I have laughed loved and smiled longer after ages watching a movie, this is what we need ❤️ 👏👏👏🔥🔥🙌🙌.”

Cinegold Plex, a major cinema chain in Pakistan, shared a video of jam-packed screenings on Friday, highlighting the film’s massive footfall. Diljit Dosanjh himself reposted clips from Universal Cinemas in Lahore and Multan on Instagram Stories, showing excited crowds cheering in theatres.

Diljit also shared a reel capturing the electric atmosphere inside a houseful screening. The text on the video read, “12 shows on ultra screens. The largest in the country. The overwhelming response from the audience for Sardaar Ji 3. Come and watch!”

With strong word of mouth and high occupancy on Friday, the film is expected to sustain its momentum and post even bigger numbers in the days ahead.

Directed by Rohit Jugraj, Sardaar Ji 3 continues the franchise’s blend of slapstick comedy and action elements, with Hania Aamir joining Diljit Dosanjh for the first time in a Punjabi feature.
