Spider-Man Brand New Day Races To Rs 500 Crore In India, Set To Become Hollywood’s First Ever Half-Century Giant

A box office finish line that once looked unreachable for a Hollywood release in India is now right in front of Spider-Man Brand New Day. Tom Holland’s latest outing as Peter Parker has stormed to Rs 498.23 crore nett across all versions, and with just Rs 1.77 crore left to go, the film is now within touching distance of creating history.

Week 5 Keeps The Momentum Alive

What has pushed Spider-Man Brand New Day this close to the record is not just a massive start, but the kind of staying power that only true event films manage. Even in its fifth week, the film continued to draw audiences through weekdays and the weekend alike, showing that interest has not faded after the initial rush.

The film collected Rs 6.29 crore nett in week five, with Rs 1.03 crore on Friday, Rs 1.63 crore on Saturday, Rs 1.70 crore on Sunday, Rs 50 lakh on Monday, Rs 53 lakh on Tuesday, Rs 44 lakh on Wednesday and Rs 46 lakh on Thursday. That weekly hold came after an extended first week total of Rs 336 crore, followed by Rs 111.78 crore in week two, Rs 31.70 crore in week three and Rs 12.46 crore in week four.

That progression tells the real story. The film did not simply explode out of the gate and collapse. It kept finding an audience week after week, which is exactly what has now put the Rs 500 crore line firmly in sight.

The Rs 500 Crore Record Is Now Within Reach

With its total at Rs 498.23 crore nett, Spider-Man Brand New Day needs only Rs 1.77 crore more to enter a league of its own. If it gets there, it will become the first Hollywood film ever to cross Rs 500 crore nett in India, a benchmark that has long remained out of reach even for the biggest global franchise titles.

That is what makes this run stand out. Indian box office history has seen imported spectacles open huge before, but sustaining business deep into the fifth week at this level is a different achievement altogether. For a Hollywood superhero film to stay this active across languages and formats underlines the depth of its pull in the market.

Cast, Director And Why The India Run Matters

Spider-Man Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. Backed by Sony Pictures and mounted as the next major chapter in Spider-Man’s big-screen arc, the film follows Peter Parker as he navigates a lonelier life in New York after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Its India run stands out because Hollywood tentpoles usually depend heavily on opening weekend fireworks. Spider-Man Brand New Day has done more than that. It has played like a long-distance box office event, turning strong opening curiosity into sustained theatrical demand, and that is what has brought it to the doorstep of a record no Hollywood title has yet claimed in India.
