Massy comedies have done tremendous business lately. ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Total Dhamaal’ exceeded expectations at box office. Now multi starrer ‘Pagalpanti’ released this week.
Pagalpanti didn’t have great pre release buzz and not a single song became chartbuster. Film was a wide release across 2800 screens. But film opened to dismal numbers in morning though it did improve in evening but it was far from good.
Film struggled against Hollywood film ‘Frozen 2’ and at premium multiplexes it was behind that film. Film collected 5.10 cr nett on day one which is below par considering cost and cast. Film collected 6.30 cr nett which was slim growth of 20% but it needed minimum 60-70% growth.
It has two day total of 11.40 cr nett. Film will struggle to cross 20 cr nett over weekend. Film needs to improve in big manner in today and hold on weekdays in order to come out with at least average lifetime number.
Looks like a big flop on the cards!!!
