Tere Naam Re-release Box Office: Salman Khan Starrer Clocks Rs 50 lakh Nett In Two Days As Nostalgia Wave Holds

Salman Khan’s Tere Naam has found its way back to the big screen, and the 2003 romantic tragedy is showing that nostalgia, when packaged right, still pulls audiences in. More than two decades after Radhe Mohan’s heartbreak became a pop culture reference point, the film’s re-run is holding steady in theatres, helped by loyal fans, familiar songs, and the pull of watching a cult title in a packed hall again.

The re-release has not come with aggressive promotions, but the audience response inside cinemas has been the talking point, with fans revisiting the most iconic moments that once defined an era.

Latest Update: Tere Naam Adds Rs 25 Lakh On Day 2, Total Hits Rs 50 Lakh Nett

As of March 1, 2026, Tere Naam has collected an estimated Rs 50 lakh nett in India across its first two days of re-release. The film added around Rs 25 lakh on Day 2, matching its Day 1 number and maintaining a steady pace in its second innings.

The current run has also been shaped by timing. The re-release has landed during Ramadan, a period considered softer for theatrical footfalls in several belts. With Salman’s sizeable Muslim fanbase traditionally impacting his theatrical pull, the calendar can influence walk-ins, even for a nostalgia-driven title. Even so, the film’s day-on-day hold suggests a committed audience is showing up for this re-run.

The Film At A Glance

Directed by the late Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla, with Ravi Kishan in a key role. Released theatrically on August 15, 2003, the film blended romance, tragedy, and action, anchored by a love story that turns increasingly devastating as Radhe’s life spirals.

The film’s music album also remains one of its biggest recall points, frequently credited for sustaining the movie’s cult status long after its original release window ended.

Salman Khan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

In the last few years, Salman was seen in Antim: The Final Truth (2021), followed by two theatrical releases in 2023, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3.

Looking ahead, Salman’s next major theatrical release is Sikandar, directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The action drama stars Rashmika Mandanna opposite him, and it is slated for a March 30 release.
