With so many new films arriving in theatres, some that have already played in theatres are now making their way to OTT platforms for digital premieres. This weekend, a selection of movies will be available on streaming services. So, if you’re thinking of having a sleepover, we’ve got a plan ready for you. For those who prefer to binge watch on OTT, a few web series premieres are also scheduled for the first weekend of July.

Samrat Prithviraj:

Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Samrat Prithviraj is a Hindi historical action-drama starring Akshay Kumar. The movie is based on a poem named Prithviraj Raso which narrates the life of the Chahamana king Prithviraj Chauhan. This movie features Manushi Chillar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, and other prominent actors in key roles. Critics rated the movie as an average affair and only 50% of the budget was recovered as per reports during its theatrical run.

Operation Romeo:

Sidhant Gupta, Vedika Pinto, Bhumika Chawla, and Sharad Kelkar play major parts in Shashant Shah’s Hindi romance thriller Operation Romeo. Officially, Ishq Not a Love Story, a 2019 Malayalam film, served as the inspiration for the film. The plot centres on a couple and how their destiny changes once they run into two strangers who are acting as police officers one day. Their lives change as the main character vows to exact retribution for being hounded by the phoney police.

Major:

Major was hailed by critics and audiences alike. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was played by Adivi Sesh, who received praise for an outstanding performance. The film tells the life story of the hero who gave his life during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks to protect his country. Major featured notable performances by Prakash Raj, Revathi, Murali Sharma, and Saiee Manjrekar.

Stranger Things S4 V2:

Earlier this month, the first volume, which contained seven episodes, of season four was released. The show writers confirmed that the second volume will see the deaths of some of the prominent characters leaving the fans curious.
