Exclusive: Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan To Cirkus To Hollywood Biggie Avatar, Last 15 Days Of December Are Over Crowded With 5 big Films, One Or Two Films Will Postpone?

It will now be interesting to see which movie wins this rat race and becomes a box office smash.

The last 15 days of 2022 will see 5 massive film releases. Those days of December and the upcoming New Year become too crowded as such high-budgeted and most-awaited films will release around that time, those films are:

Avatar: The Way of Water: December 16
Cirkus: December 23
Ganapath Part-1: December 23
Merry Christmas: December 23
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan: December 30.

Now there is a high probability that the release of one or two films may be postponed as 3 big films are clashing on the same day, December 23, namely, ‘Cirkus’, ‘Ganapath Part-1’, and ‘Merry Christmas’.

Now, when we talk about the screens that every film requires to maintain its box office collections, let’s take a look at how many screens will be needed for each film.

Since the first installment of the movie was a success and audiences are anxiously anticipating the second, it won’t be difficult for Avatar to get these 3000 screens when it opens. Both Cirkus, featuring Ranveer Singh, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring Salman Khan, will require 4000 screens. Tiger Shroff, who has struggled at the box office with his last releases, now requires a minimum of 2500 screens to remain steady. Vijay Sethupati and Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas will need between 2500 and 3000 screens.

Coming onto the details of the 5 massive releases one by one, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is an upcoming American epic science-fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It is the second film in Cameron’s Avatar franchise, following Avatar (2009). Cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald reprise their roles from the original film, with Sigourney Weaver returning in a different role. New cast members include Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Cowell, Oona Chaplin, CJ Jones, and Vin Diesel. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 16.

‘Cirkus’ is a Hindi-language comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh in a dual role alongside Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma. The movie is loosely based on the 1982 movie Angoor and a bit adapted from Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors. It also features Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn in special appearances. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 23.

‘Ganapath Part-1’ is a Hindi action movie that stars Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. The duo reunited for the first time after their debut movie, Heropanti in 2014. The film is currently under the direction of Vikas Bahl. The producers of the movie include Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Vikas Bahl. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 23.

‘Merry Christmas’ is a Bollywood drama helmed by Sanjay Routray. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It is produced by Ramesh Taurani and is scheduled to be released in cinemas on December 23.

And last but not the least, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is an action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Shehnaaz Gill. The film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram and will be released across pan India on December 30.

It will be challenging for all of these movies to be a box office smash if the makers of at least two of them do not opt to move their release dates. The audience will naturally split, and the competition will intensify. We anticipate a release date change of at least two movies.

It will now be interesting to see which movie wins this rat race and becomes a box office smash.
