Vaani Kapoor is one of the most interesting actresses in Bollywood these days. She is known for her amazing looks, acting chops, and great dancing abilities which have helped her in creating her niche in the industry. Starting out in 2013 with YRF’s Shuddh Desi Romance, Vaani has been a part of some of the most commercially successful projects of all time.
Now, the actress is also making her debut in the streaming space with the web series Mandala Murders. It also marks Yash Raj Film’s foray into the digital space. Recently, the team completed the show’s Mumbai schedule. It has been shot over 65 days at several places in Uttar Pradesh and some places like Varanasi, Paryagraj, Mumbai, and YRF Studios.

Mandala Murders features Vani Kapoor and Vaibhav Raj Gupta in leading roles while Surveen Chawla and Jameel Khan appear in supporting roles. It is helmed by Gopi Puthran, who is a National Award-winning filmmaker. Ever since its announcement, fans have been excited to see Vaani in her and YRF’s first-ever web series.
Vaani Opens Up About The Show
In a recent interview, Vaani opened up about doing Mandala Murders. She said, “I was looking for something clutter-breaking for my foray into OTT. I’m thrilled to be working with a mind like Gopi Puthran for Mandala Murders, a gritty crime thriller series that has pushed me to work my hardest in the genre I’ve never attempted before.” The actress also unveiled that currently she is “neck deep into the shooting of Mandala Murders currently and looking forward for the series to grip people’s attention.”

Vaani’s Upcoming Projects
Apart from the Mandala Murders, Vaani is also doing a film under Anubhav Sinha’s production venture titled Bachpan Ka Pyar. The film will mark her first collaboration with Anubhav and it will also star the talented Rajkummar Rao. Bachpan Ka Pyar will be set in Lucknow and will be helmed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously directed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy Chaman Bahaar. Its filming will commence sometime in the next month.
