72nd Prime-time Emmy Awards Were Held Virtually, Schitt’s Creek Leads In Comedy Category, Check Out The Entire List Here

Every year the Emmy Awards are the much awaited affairs of the year. This year the award night took place, but in a different way. Following the ongoing pandemic the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards took place virtually in order to keep everyone safe.

On September 20, 2020 in Los Angeles Jimmy Kimmel stepped into the host’s shoes and began the celebration of the TV industry.

Canadian television sitcom Schitt’s Creek won in the comedy department categories as Stars Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy took home awards virtually.

Regina King and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II bagged awards respectively for HBO’s limited series Watchmen. While Mark Ruffalo accepted the lead actor award from home for the HBO movie, I Know This Much Is True.
