
Marvel Studios is officially expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe through small-screen projects exclusively for Disney+. Now it has been confirmed that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be released in 2021.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan starrer The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was going to drop back in August. But, due to the coronavirus pandemic, production had to be shut down. It was originally set to be Marvel Studios’ inaugural Disney+ series.
During the Emmys 2020 night on September 20, the streaming site Disney+ updated about the news release date of the series.
Directed by Kari Skogland, the filming resumed in Atlanta, Georgia with the lead actors.
The six-part series taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) retired from being Captain America and handed over the shield to Sam Wilson.
