Farhan Akhtar is returning to the big screen after a three-year break in his upcoming film 120 Bahadur. The military action movie will see him portray Major Shaitan Singh, a real-life hero from the Battle of Rezang La.
Scheduled for release in November 2025, 120 Bahadur promises to be an action-packed tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Indo-China War of 1962.
Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur Locks Its Release Date
As revealed by the makers today, 120 Bahadur has been scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.
The Battle of Rezang La fought on November 18, 1962 forms the heart of this movie. In the treacherous cold of Ladakh, 120 soldiers from Charlie Company held their ground against 3,000 Chinese troops. Despite being vastly outnumbered, they fought till their last breath, embodying courage and selflessness. Their story has become a symbol of unmatched heroism and patriotism in Indian military history.
Earlier, Farhan had BTS shared glimpses of the breathtaking beauty of Ladakh, where the film was shot. The snow-covered mountains and serene landscapes have caught the attention of fans and film buffs alike. Farhan also posted a snap from inside his tent, offering a personal touch to his audience during the intense shoot.

Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, 120 Bahadur is shaping up to be one of the most-awaited films of 2025. Farhan’s portrayal of Major Singh is expected to be a powerful tribute to the soldiers’ bravery. Additionally, the film’s action sequences promise to keep viewers at the edge of their seats.
