Chandu Champion director Kabir Khan is preparing for his return to commercial cinema. After delivering memorable hits like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the director is now gearing up for an action-packed thriller in collaboration with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. According to sources, the film is currently in its pre-production phase.
Salman Khan & Vicky Kaushal In Talks For Lead Role
Insiders reveal that Kabir Khan’s latest project will be a high-octane action film, and the director is seeking a big star to headline it. The film is said to require a “macho superstar” to lead the way, with Salman Khan and Vicky Kaushal both in the running for the coveted role.
A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “Kabir Khan is developing a commercial action film in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The casting for this film calls for a star with a commanding presence, and Kabir is considering both Salman Khan and Vicky Kaushal for the lead role.”
Both actors are reportedly showing interest in the project, although the final draft of the script is still under discussion. “Salman Khan and Vicky Kaushal are both eager, but they are waiting for the final version of the script before making their commitments,” the source added.
Film Expected To Go On Floors In 2025 End
The makers are hopeful that either Salman or Vicky will sign on, and the film is expected to go on floors towards the end of 2025. Kabir and Karan are confident that they’ll secure one of the two stars for the high-budget action thriller.
Salman Khan is keeping busy with his upcoming Eid release Sikandar and has recently wrapped up shooting for a film teaser that will be revealed on his birthday. Additionally, the actor will unveil his first look from the film on the same day.
Talking about Vicky Kaushal, he is gearing up for the release of Chhaava and is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War.
