Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is in news ever since the film went on the floor. The film is an official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump was reckoned to hit the screen on Christmas this 2020.
However, 2020 has its own planes to, now due to coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown the film may not make it to the scheduled date. Earlier Atul Kulkarni who penned the film hinted that it may be pushed for next year. Now if we believe on the reports then makers are targeting April 2021 for its release of Laal Singh Chaddha.
According to the information, 60% of the shoot is completed and Aamir was planning to unveil the teaser by Diwali.
“The unit was to head to Chandigarh for another round of filming. The shoot was moving like clockwork, and Aamir was hoping to release the first teaser around Diwali. However, the lockdown has put the brakes on his plans. Even if the shoots resume by August or September, it is unlikely that the movie will hit screens by December. It may target April 2021 for release,” a daily quoted a source as saying.
It also added that the film requires intricate visual effects work as the film will show events like Babri Masjid demolition and Kargil war.
“Besides presenting Aamir as a 20-something who grows older as the narrative progresses, the film will also depict events like the Babri Masjid demolition and the Kargil war. It won’t be easy to complete such intricate VFX work in a short time,” the source added.
