Sarfarosh, one of Indian cinema’s beloved classics, marked its 25th anniversary on April 30. Starring Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre in pivotal roles, the film earned praise. Reports from Bollywood Hungama reveal that a special screening of Sarfarosh is scheduled to take place in Mumbai. Radio Nasha, a popular radio station, has taken the lead in organising the screening, which is set to unfold on Friday, May 10, at PVR Juhu in Mumbai.
Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre And Others To Attend Special Screening Of Sarfarosh
According to insider sources, Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre are slated to grace the event, alongside Mukesh Rishi, known for his memorable portrayal in the film. While Naseeruddin Shah’s attendance remains uncertain, director John Matthew Matthan and music director Lalit Pandit are expected to join the festivities.
Traditionally, Radio Nasha screenings feature felicitations of cast and crew members, who share anecdotes and trivia from behind the scenes before the film screening. Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in this memorable occasion, with chances to win tickets to the premiere.
Anticipation runs high for the event, particularly among younger audiences who may not have experienced Sarfarosh upon its original release in 1999. The film’s themes, addressing issues like cross-border terrorism and arms trafficking, remain relevant today. Radio Nasha has a track record of hosting such milestone screenings. Previous events include the 25th-anniversary screening of Hum Aapke Hain Koun in 2019, attended by Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and director Sooraj Barjatya. Similarly, the 25th anniversary of Gupt saw a star-studded turnout in 2022, with Bobby Deol and Kajol among the attendees.
Last year, the 30th anniversary of Khalnayak witnessed the presence of Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and director Subhash Ghai, among others.
