However, her statements ignited a storm on social media, with users accusing her of self-obsession and criticising her comparison to Amitabh Bachchan, especially considering her recent string of film flops.

In response, Kangana defended her remarks, emphasising her contributions to Indian cinema and her advocacy for women’s empowerment.

She challenged her detractors to name another individual in the Hindi film industry who commands as much respect and adulation as she claims to receive, suggesting that she would amend her statement if provided with a convincing answer.
