Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar have stirred excitement with their new collaboration. The two actors were spotted as they arrived to film a special podcast in Mumbai for Patekar’s recently released film Vanvaas.
The podcast aims to promote the movie and features the stars discussing its themes of family, honour, and self-acceptance with a modern twist.
Aamir Khan & Nana Patekar Spotted As They Arrive To Shoot Vanvaas Special Podcast
The duo was seen walking hand-in-hand in Juhu, Mumbai at the shoot venue. Both of them were seen wearing traditional dhoti-kurta outfits. Paps quickly spotted them and a video of the moment is now making rounds online.
In the video, they appear warm and relaxed as they are accompanied by their security team. Fans are already wondering how this podcast will affect the film’s reception.
Will This Marketing Strategy Work In The Film’s Favour?
Vanvaas was released on December 20, 2024. The film stars Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simratt Kaur in leading roles. It was highly anticipated for its focus on family values. However, the film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. While Patekar’s performance has been praised, the plot and dialogue are seen as overly dramatic and underwhelming.
The film was expected to capitalise on the nostalgia from Anil Sharma’s past hits like Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Gadar 2. Yet, the box office results have been disappointing. On its opening day, Vanvaas struggled to even reach Rs 1 crore, which is a poor start for the film. It seems that director Anil Sharma’s usual formula has not worked this time.
Aamir Khan’s involvement in the special podcast is seen as a possible game-changer. His star power could give Vanvaas the promotional boost it needs. However, Khan has faced a string of recent flops, and some wonder if his influence alone can turn the film’s fortunes around.
It is still too early to predict whether the podcast will boost the film’s box office numbers. With the weekend ahead, the film’s performance and audience reaction will be closely watched.
Will the conversation between Khan and Patekar bring a surge in interest, or will Vanvaas fade as just another missed opportunity? Let’s wait and watch!
