Tiger Shroff recently treated fans to the first look of his upcoming action film Baaghi 4. The actor, known for his high-octane stunts and action-packed roles, shared a striking poster on Instagram.
But instead of receiving the usual cheers, the reveal sparked some unexpected backlash online.
Tiger Shroff TROLLED For His Animal-Like Look For Baaghi 4
In the poster, Tiger Shroff is shown covered in blood, gripping a machete in one hand and a bottle of alcohol in the other. The scene takes place in a rundown bathroom with a lifeless body on the floor.
A blood-stained “4” is carved into the wall behind him, adding to the dark atmosphere. Tiger captioned the photo, “A darker spirit, a bloodier mission. This time he is not the same!”
While the look aimed to project a grittier, darker take on the franchise, social media users were quick to point out similarities to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The poster drew comparisons to Ranbir’s rugged look in the film, which has already created a buzz among fans for its dark and intense storyline.
Netizens were quick to share their reactions, with some calling it a “sasti copy” (cheap imitation) of Ranbir’s film.
One user commented, “Ab yeh bhi animal banega” (Now even he’s becoming an animal), while another added, “Tiger ka Animal hangover lag raha hai” (Looks like Tiger is under an Animal hangover).
For those unaware, Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and will see Ranbir Kapoor taking on a fierce, never-before-seen role. The film has been highly anticipated, and its trailers have left audiences intrigued. Given the hype surrounding Animal, fans couldn’t help but draw parallels between the two projects.
Apart from the Animal comparisons, some netizens took the opportunity to poke fun at Tiger’s continued association with the Baaghi franchise. “Isko Baaghi ke alava kuch aur milta hi nahi” (Does he get anything other than Baaghi?), joked one user. Another quipped, “Every time he is the same, only the kidnapper and victim change.”
The criticism seemed to point at the repetitive nature of the Baaghi series, with users urging Tiger to experiment with more diverse roles. One user suggested, “Bhai, try something new. The audience is getting tired of this formula.”
About The Baaghi Franchise
The Baaghi franchise, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, first hit theatres in 2016, starring Tiger Shroff alongside Disha Patani. The film was a hit, leading to Baaghi 2 in 2018 and Baaghi 3 in 2020, with new additions like Manoj Bajpayee, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh joining the cast in various sequels.
Despite mixed reviews, the franchise has consistently performed well at the box office, largely due to its action sequences and Tiger’s energetic performances.
Baaghi 4, set to release on September 5, 2025, promises to take the action and intensity up a notch. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the latest instalment aims to present a darker and edgier storyline, shifting away from the relatively lighter tone of its predecessors.
