After his powerful performance as Ranvijay Singh in Animal (2023), Ranbir Kapoor has left fans excited for more. The film was one of the highest-grossing movies of the year and has led to the announcement of a sequel, Animal Park.
Bhushan Kumar, who co-produced Animal, has now confirmed that the sequel is happening and production will begin soon.
Bhushan Kumar Confirms Animal Park Will Go On Floors After Spirit
During a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Bhushan Kumar, the managing director of T-Series, shared an update on the film.
He revealed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed the first film, is currently working on his new Telugu movie Spirit. This film will star Prabhas in the lead role and will begin shooting by the end of December 2024. After completing Spirit, the team will begin work on Animal Park six months later.

The post-credits scene of Animal teased the title Animal Park, confirming that the sequel was in the works. Bhushan Kumar added, “We will have a six-month gap and then immediately Animal Park,” which has only built more excitement.
Animal Park To Be ‘Meaner’ Despite Controversial 1st Instalment
Although Animal received praise, it also faced some criticism, especially regarding its violent scenes and storyline. However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has promised that Animal Park will be even darker and more intense than the first film.
In an interview with India Today, Vanga revealed that the sequel will be “meaner” and take the story to new levels of suspense and drama, which has left fans even more eager to see what comes next.
Ranbir Kapoor is also looking forward to the sequel. In a recent chat with Netflix India, he revealed that Vanga had shared some scenes from Animal Park, which got him excited about where the story is heading.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Work Front
Before moving to Animal Park, Ranbir Kapoor is working on Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he will star alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash. He’s also collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Love And War, which will feature Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
