‘Absolutely Disgusting’: Naga Vamsi-Produced Daaku Maharaaj Song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ TROLLED For Grossly Vulgar Dance Moves

Naga Vamsi-produced song featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela has faced severe backlash for its controversial choreography.

The release of the song “Dabidi Dibidi” from the upcoming Telugu action-thriller Daaku Maharaaj has sparked outrage across social media. Featuring veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and actress Urvashi Rautela, the track was highly anticipated.

However, its reception has been highly negative, with many fans and critics taking to various platforms to voice their disgust over the choreography.

Daaku Maharaaj Song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ Faces Backlash For Obscene Choreography

The song has been sung by Vagdevi with lyrics by Kasarla Shyam and music by S Thaman & was meant to be a mass dance number. However, its controversial dance steps, choreographed by Shekhar Master, have stolen the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Viewers have expressed their disappointment with what they call “grossly vulgar” moves, calling the song inappropriate for its lead actors’ age gap.

One user on X shared their shock and wrote, “What on earth did I just watch? 🤮🤮 A grown man dancing so inappropriately with someone who could be his daughter? Who even comes up with such ‘genius’ choreography, and why did the hero agree to this? Absolutely disgusting🙏🏻🙏🏻.”

The negative response continued with another commenter adding, “What do you mean grown man, he is of retirement age, old enough to be her grandpa😂.”

The criticism didn’t stop at the dance moves alone. Many viewers pointed out the significant age difference between Balakrishna and Rautela, with some labelling the entire sequence uncomfortable to watch.

The YouTube comment section for the song is filled with remarks about how the choreography crosses the line, with some users questioning how the actor agreed to participate in such a number.

Adding fuel to the fire, some comments referenced recent remarks made by the film’s producer Naga Vamsi. He had previously criticised Bollywood filmmakers for having a narrow vision, focusing only on the posh areas of Bandra and Juhu in Mumbai.

One sarcastic comment took a dig at his statement: “Our Bandra Juhu directors don’t make this level of 💩.” Another user said, “Another cringefest from this producer Vamsi 😂😂.”

While the song has garnered a lot of attention, it’s not the kind of buzz the filmmakers were hoping for. The controversy seems to have overshadowed the film’s other aspects, including its storyline and the presence of Bobby Deol, who is making his Telugu debut as the antagonist.

About The Film

Directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj is slated to release on January 12, during Makar Sankranti. Besides Balakrishna and Rautela, the film also stars Bobby Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shraddha Srinath.

It will be interesting to see how the film performs despite the controversy surrounding the song.
