Speaking about his experience, Vikrant shared, “Watching the film with the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers, and MPs was a surreal moment. It’s a milestone in my career that I will always cherish.”
About The Film
The film is centred on the tragic events of February 27, 2002, when the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express was set ablaze near Godhra station in Gujarat. The incident marked a dark chapter in India’s history, and the film aims to present the truth behind it.
The movie has already drawn significant attention, with PM Modi himself praising its effort to highlight the facts. Reacting to the film’s trailer on X, formerly Twitter, Modi stated: “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
The Sabarmati Report has been declared tax-free in several states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. It has also received applause from political figures, including BJP MP and veteran actress Hema Malini.
For the unversed, actress-politician Kangana Ranaut, who once called Vikrant a ‘cockroach,’ was also spotted attending the screening.
