Anil Sharma, the director of the blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is busy with multiple projects in the pipeline. Sharma has revealed that he is also working on another film with Nana Patekar and his own son Utkarsh Sharma. The film will be a thriller and will go on floors in mid-2022.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Anil Sharma shared that he has been planning to work with Nana Patekar for a long time and finally got the opportunity to collaborate with him. He said, “Nana Patekar is a very fine actor and a great human being. I have always admired his work and wanted to work with him. He has agreed to do my film and I am very happy about it.”
Sharma also revealed that his son Utkarsh Sharma, who made his debut as a lead actor in Genius (2018), will play a pivotal role in the film. He said, “Utkarsh is a very talented actor and he has proved himself in Genius and Gadar 2. He will play a very important character in the film with Nana Patekar. It will be a very challenging role for him.”
Sharma added that the film will be a thriller with a lot of twists and turns. He said, “The film will be a thriller with a lot of suspense and drama. It will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The script is ready and we will start shooting in mid-2022.”

Anil Sharma To Start Apne 2
After Gadar 2, Sharma will also start working on Apne 2, which is another sequel to his 2007 film Apne, starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shilpa Shetty. The sequel will also feature Karan Deol along with his father and grandfather. The film will revolve around boxing and family values.
Sharma said that he is looking forward to Apne 2 and hopes to deliver another hit with the Deols. He said, “Apne 2 is a very emotional and inspiring film. It will show the bond between three generations of boxers and how they overcome their challenges.”
Anil Sharma To Start Writing Gadar 3
