Alia Bhatt is making big moves in Bollywood, with her next project potentially being a supernatural thriller. After wrapping up her work on the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, Alia shifted her focus to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated Love And War, starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
The actress has committed bulk dates to Bhansali until November 2025 and is now actively exploring her next big screen venture.
Alia Bhatt In Talks For Dinesh Vijan’s Supernatural Thriller
According to Pinkvilla, Alia is in talks with producer Dinesh Vijan for an exciting collaboration under his Maddock Films banner. Sources suggest that Alia has been regularly visiting Maddock’s office to discuss a potential supernatural psychological thriller.
“Alia has always discussed multiple feature films with Dinesh Vijan and is now on the verge of collaborating with the producer,” an insider revealed.
The project she has loved is a psychological supernatural thriller, which could be her next major film after Love And War. Talks are reportedly progressing well, and the deal could be finalised by early 2025.
Maddock Films May Create A New Supernatural Universe With This Project
Tentatively titled Chamunda, the film’s name holds significant relevance to the storyline, which is still in the writing stage. The project could mark the beginning of a new supernatural universe, alongside Maddock’s popular horror-comedy universe that includes hits like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. “The new universe will feature Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani among others,” the source added.
It was previously reported that Kiara Advani is also in talks with Maddock Films for a mythological supernatural horror thriller, Devi. This could be the start of a shared universe, with Alia’s film potentially being a key part of it. If all goes as planned, fans could see Alia and Kiara working together in this exciting new world.
Meanwhile, Alia is also said to be exploring a romantic story with a filmmaker whose 2022 film made over Rs 200 crore at the box office. Guess who?
