Ahan Shetty Signs Action Drama With Birsa Dasgupta
After Tadap, Shaad Ali’s next film, and the action-packed patriotic film Border 2, Ahan Shetty has almost signed his fourth film — this time with acclaimed Bengali director Birsa Dasgupta.
Sources in the industry share that the project is in pre-production and is scheduled to go on floors in October 2025, after Ahan completes the shoot for Border 2.
“Ahan has signed an action drama film which will be directed by the prestigious Bengali director Birsa Dasgupta,” a source stated.
“It is being produced by Shibasish Sarkar and Ribhu Dasgupta who are finalising the leading lady before they make an official announcement.”
The film is expected to be a blend of stylised action and emotionally driven drama, a genre that Dasgupta has explored in Bengali cinema but is now bringing to the Hindi film industry.

Shetty Family Update: Athiya Steps Away from Films
Ahan’s Bollywood career is steadily gaining momentum, while his sister and Motichoor Chaknachoor actress, Athiya Shetty, has decided to take a break from films to focus on her family. She is married to cricketer KL Rahul and has recently given birth to their first child.
Suniel Shetty (Ahan’s father) has confirmed in interviews that Athiya is:
“Enjoying being a mother” and “has no plans to come back” to film acting.

Father Suniel Shetty is still navigating chaos surrounding the delayed Hera Pheri 3 — which was supposed to reunite Shetty with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Priyadarshan.
After Rawal exited the production due to fee negotiations, the film is at a standstill. Akshay Kumar has allegedly taken legal action against Rawal, and the future of the franchise is currently stuck in litigation.
