Director and choreographer Ahmed Khan is on a roll with multiple exciting projects in the pipeline. His upcoming comic caper Welcome To The Jungle is shaping up well, while his production Baap has wrapped up shooting and is currently in post-production. In an exclusive interview, Ahmed Khan opened up about both films and shared exciting updates on their progress and release plans.
Welcome To The Jungle Climax Shoot In December
Ahmed Khan revealed that Welcome To The Jungle recently completed shooting in Mumbai and Dubai with a long 12-day schedule. The team will wrap up the climax in December, bringing the massive multi-starrer comedy to completion. When asked about the release date, he confirmed the film is expected to be released in mid-2026. Produced by Firoz A Nadiadwallah, Welcome To The Jungle features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani, among many others.
Baap Post Production Takes Nine Months
Ahmed Khan explained that Baap is currently in post-production, which has been ongoing for nine months. The film is extremely post-production heavy and also features extensive action sequences. The studio partners Zee Studios will soon announce the release date. When asked if Baap would release after Sunny Deol’s highly anticipated Border 2, he replied in the affirmative and shared exciting details about the film.
Four Legendary Actors Together For First Time
Ahmed Khan revealed that all four actors, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jackie Shroff, are playing cool characters in Baap. This marks the first time audiences will see all of them together on screen, making it a historic collaboration. The film has full retro vibes, adding a unique nostalgic flavor to the action-packed narrative. Directed by Vivek Singh Chauhan, the film has been delayed but promises to be worth the wait.
Remembering Mentor Saroj Khan
Ahmed Khan also remembered his guru, Saroj Khan, on her birth anniversary, November 22. He shared that she is engraved in his heart and continues to guide him even today. When stuck, he closes his eyes and asks himself what Saroj Khan would have done in that situation, instantly finding his answer. He credited other legends he worked with, including Ram Gopal Varma, Ashok Mehta, Mukul Anand, and Shekhar Kapur.
