Kajol has been promoting her upcoming film Maa as the one from the world of Shaitaan. While waiting for her movie to release in theatres, fans are also curious to find out about Shaitaan 2 after witnessing the world of horrors. Even though the actors stay mum on the topic, we might have an update on the same.
Shaitaan 2 to go on floors soon?
Shaitaan 2 is likely to go on floors very soon, and the biggest hint of it lies in the original film. The Gujarati film Vash, featuring Janki Bodiwala of Shaitaan as the central lead (again), not only has a sequel, but it is ready for release too. The release date for Vash 2 is locked. The movie will be out in theatres on August 27. This is the biggest hint that the Shaitaan 2 script will also be ready and rolling pretty soon.
Kajol’s Maa is scheduled to release in theatres on June 27. While Shaitaan was the tale of a father protecting his family, Maa, as the name suggests, is about a mother protecting her child from the world of evil. The story is about a mother fighting a cursed tree called Doito so that she can save her daughter from getting sacrificed.
Although Ajay Devgn and even R. Madhavan have collaborated with Kajol for Maa promotions, they have still not spilled many details about Shaitaan 2, except the fact that the movie is happening. Now, with Vash 2 also releasing in theatres, one might definitely expect some good news.
While Thama, coming from the Maddock Supernatural Universe, is confirmed to not be a horror-comedy but rather a romantic-comedy, horror fans could have something new to look forward to for the next few months, till Shaitaan 2 actually comes back.
