Though we recently saw Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat tank at the box office despite getting mixed to positive reviews. Ajay Devgn is all set with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior to release next month. But apart from this, he has two more period dramas in Bhuj: The Pride Of India & Maidaan.
When Bhuj: The Pride Of India was announced it gained just the right amount of the buzz. It was because of two major reasons. The first one is the topic of the film which is set in the post-independence era. And not many great movies have been currently set at that time.
Akshay Kumar’s Gold is a recent example received mixed reviews for taking many cinematic liberties. But Bhuj: The Pride Of India was talked about its interesting mix-bag of the cast in Ajay Devgn, Pranitha Shubash, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra & more.
Sad news for the project is that post-shooting a couple of schedules, the movie has hit a roadblock as of now. Yes, it’s been said director Abhishek Dudhaiya is not very confident about the product and trying to reshape things. It was slated to release on 14th March next year but as of now, it’s halted until further notice.
